Hafid Cherki is a Moroccan writer and novelist, born on September 8, 1978. He works as a teacher with the Moroccan Ministry of National Education. His literary style is marked by creative clarity and a sincere aim to promote values of positivity and hope through deep, realistic storytelling.
He has published several acclaimed works of fiction that have resonated with readers in both Morocco and Egypt. Among his notable titles is the novel "Al-Ihraq wa Al-Ishraq" ("Burning and Enlightenment"), first published in Morocco in 2018 and reissued in Egypt in 2023 by Zayat Publishing and Distribution. His second novel, "Dawafe‘" ("Motives") was released the same year, followed by a short story collection titled "Nawa’ib al-Dahr" ("The Calamities of Time") in 2024, also with Zayat Publishing.
Currently, he is preparing a new short story collection aimed at young readers, with the goal of nurturing literary taste and instilling core values in the next generation. Hafid Cherki also aspires to build cultural bridges between the Arab world and international readers by presenting works inspired by the spirit of Eastern Arabic literature, written for or translated into English to reach a wider audience.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Hafid Cherki holds a diploma in IT development and multiple certifications in digital design and video editing. Since 2008, he has worked as a trainer in information technology, specializing in graphic and video design. He is also an avid photographer and videographer, actively involved in documenting educational and cultural events.
